This calculator is designed to determine the Minimum Distributions that are required from your tax deferred retirement account including Traditional IRAs, 401(k) plans, and other tax deferred plans. These are called "Qualified" accounts according to the IRS. Using the planner below, you can model the Owner taking RMDs until they reach their life expectancy, then a rollover to their Spouse. Finally, when Spouse reaches their life expectancy, the account is split among the contingent beneficiaries and then the RMDs continue using the beneficiary's life expectancy. The overall effect is to "stretch" the required distributions for as long as possible, increasing the total payout from the account.

Output

This is our Non-Qualified Distributions Calculator.

A Variable Annuity is a long-term, tax-deferred investment designed to provide supplemental retirement income. But what if your clients reach retirement and find that they don't need to use the variable annuity for income? They might consider leaving their non-qualified annuity assets to their beneficiaries in the form of a death benefit.

Using the planner below, you can model the Owner taking RMDs until they reach their life expectancy, then a rollover to their Spouse. Finally, when the Spouse reaches their life expectancy, the account is split among the contingent beneficiaries and then the RMDs continue using the beneficiary's life expectancy. The overall effect is to "stretch" the required distributions for as long as possible, increasing the total payout from the account.

This calculator projects the growth of your current retirement savings to estimate how much it may be worth at your retirement age. For a quick estimate, just enter your age, current savings for retirement and assumed investment return. We will then calculate an estimate of your nest egg at retirement. You should be conservative in your estimate of the annual return that you anticipate on your retirement savings. Unreasonably high rates of return many not be sustainable over prolonged periods of time due to various market conditions.

Paycheck Savings Analyzer

Output

This calculator shows the value of saving in a tax-deferred plan through the reduction in current taxes.

Participating in a retirement plan may not impact your paycheck as much as you might think. That is because the amount you contribute to the plan is deducted from your wages each pay period before income taxes are calculated.

In other words, if you save on a pre-tax basis, you may increase your take-home pay while saving on current income taxes. By contributing to your retirement plan, you keep more of the money you earn today while saving for your future at the same time. It is a good deal. Complete the Paycheck Analyzer to learn more.
